Is it a crime to lie to protect the truth?

At its core, a crime is just breaking a clear set of rules.
But somehow, it’s still called a crime no matter the situation.

So why do we let something as cold as a rulebook control creatures as emotionally complex as us?

We say being lawless is the same as being animalistic.
But we forget—animals have instincts too.
Instincts that protect life.

Maybe the enemy of order isn’t chaos.
Maybe it’s something deeper—something human.
The very breath we take every second.

And in the end, we’ll see what we really are.

The truth of humanity.
The darkness in our souls.

And there will be nothing we can do but watch…
as the very rules that once held us together
start to tear us apart.
